Coastal Church's, 15th Century ruins and golden sandy beaches - oh and two creaking knees!!!4/7/2013 Fife Coastal Path Was in Elie for a few days at the Easter holidays and had brought running shoes. This was my first jog in a long time (probably over ten years)!! Got dropped off at the lovely St Monans Church and jogged through to Earlsferry and Elie where I was joined by my two favourite people…. Recommend this path – great views and a few interesting ruins along the way. Felt really good after the jog but two days later the inevitable happened - my knees started to play up... This was the reason I had to drop the running all those years ago - had right knee operated on and a few years later the left one was scanned and found to have meniscus tears. So 6 days on and they are still sore - looks like this will be the last jog/run for another tens years!!!

A beautiful day in Glencoe. Underfoot condition were not so good higher up on the ridge so we backed off and got some practice down climbing. Then found some ice in Coir' Eilde which we played on. One to return to in the future though - was cracking route. |
